These amber toned ammonite fossils are created using a bezel weave with brass wire.
To make these earrings I start by selecting the wire color that best matches the fossils. I then assemble the frame work around the ammonite half. Taking a smaller wire I secure the fossil within the frame using a bezel setting weave. I finish the earrings with french style ball and coil ear wires.
These earrings hang at two and a quarter inches from the piercing to the bottom of the ammonite fossil. They are three quarters of an inch wide and one and three eighths of an inch in height without the ear wires. All ear wires are non-reactive, I have very sensitive ears and refuse to sell earrings that I can't wear.
