These ribbon inspired earrings are created with a wonderful bright blue glass bead using silver plated copper on an antique copper base wire.
To make these I start by stringing the beads onto the weave wire. The weave pattern for these ear rings has the beads weaved within the two base wires to create the flat ribbon. The ribbon is finished with a spiral and then wrapped around a mandrel to give it an expanding coil shape.
These earrings hang at two and a quarter inches from the piercing to the bottom of the ribbon weave, and are one inch wide. All ear wires are non-reactive, I have very sensitive ears and refuse to sell earrings that I can't wear.
